Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items while providing excellent customer service. Your role will involve creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring their satisfaction with every visit.
Duties
* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as food items, following established recipes and standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils, in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders accurately, answering questions about menu items, and making recommendations based on customer preferences.
* Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently, ensuring accurate processing of payments.
* Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while managing time effectively to meet customer demands.
Requirements
* Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; we are willing to train the right candidate.
* Knowledge of food safety practices is crucial to maintain hygiene standards in food preparation.
* Strong serving skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and create a welcoming environment.
* Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
* Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
