Job Title: RF Systems Engineer

Location: Great Baddow, Essex

Salary: Up to £55K + benefits

Clearance Requirement: Applicants must be British citizens and eligible to obtain UK SC security clearance


We are seeking an experienced RF Systems Engineer to join a growing team focused on the development of advanced RF systems. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of defence technology, shaping innovative solutions from concept through to demonstrator.


The role will involve:

* Designing RF system architectures, conducting trade-off studies, and balancing performance, cost, time, and risk
* Integrating multi-disciplinary elements, including antennas, RF components, DSP, firmware, and software, into cohesive solutions
* Supporting early-stage R&D (TRL2–4) through to advanced technology demonstrators (TRL5/6 and beyond)
* Engaging with customers and stakeholders through technical presentations, roadmaps, and solution justifications
* Driving innovation through feasibility studies, proof-of-principle activities, and system prototyping


What we’re looking for:

1. Strong background in RF systems engineering, ideally within radar or electronic warfare domains
