Ceredigion County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Manager – Housing Options and Support Services to lead key frontline housing and homelessness functions, supporting residents to access the right help at the right time through our Through Age and Wellbeing Integrated Services Model.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading and managing the Housing Options, Accommodation, Housing Support, and Strategy & Housing Register Allocations functions.
2. Providing expert operational guidance on homelessness law, welfare benefits, debt/money advice, accommodation management, and commissioned support services.
3. Ensuring statutory duties are delivered effectively, including homelessness prevention, assessments and reviews, and securing temporary and permanent accommodation.
4. Driving service quality, performance management, and continuous improvement, including robust quality assurance and reflective supervision.
5. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners at local, regional and all-Wales level to improve outcomes for residents.
About you: You will have significant experience in housing (minimum 5 years) and leadership in a relevant service area, with a strong understanding of housing legislation, performance management and person-centred practice (including Signs of Safety). You will hold (or be working towards where stated) relevant professional and management qualifications, have excellent communication and digital skills, and be committed to equality, diversity and customer-focused service delivery. Welsh language ability is essential (or a commitment to attain the required levels within two years). A full driving licence is required.
