Detailed description
Interesting role meeting and greeting members of the public. The role includes issuing tickets, taking money and exchanging vouchers for train tickets. Full training provided. Weekends from mid March to end of October, Wednesdays and Thursdays also during the summer months. Flexible time commitments.
Looking for a volunteering role that provides great satisfaction and oodles of camaraderie? The East Somerset Heritage Steam Railway welcomes new volunteers in a variety of roles. As well as hands-on, practical work maintaining our railway line and our steam locomotive and Signal Box restoration projects, we require public facing roles during the summer season such as Guards, Travelling Ticket Inspectors, Shop and Ticket Office staff. The ESR is a dynamic and friendly organization that offers flexible time commitment according to your availability, social events, free train rides for you and discounts for your friends and family.
