Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our clients dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a solid understanding of fabrication processes. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Operate CNC machines to manufacture precision parts according to specifications
* Program and set up CNC machines using CAD/CAM software, including SolidWorks
* Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise
* Conduct quality inspections of finished products using measuring tools
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production targets are met
* Handle materials safely and efficiently during the production process
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills
* Proficient in fabrication techniques and processes
* Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
* Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD software for design purposes
* Familiarity with milling operations and tooling requirements
* Mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively
* Competence in materials handling techniques
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
* Previous warehouse experience is advantageous
* Skills in assembly processes and welding techniques are desirable
