About the role
We’re looking for a Group Category Manager to take ownership of key product categories, build strong supplier partnerships, and help drive growth across our branch network.
Key Responsibilities
Category & Supplier Management
* Negotiate and manage supplier agreements, securing the best products at the best prices.
* Develop and deliver group strategies for your product categories in line with the Purchasing Director and Commercial team.
* Identify and maintain a core range of products to be stocked consistently across all branches.
Data & Stock Management
* Maintain group stock levels in line with company policy and market demand.
* Support the Price Book team to ensure accurate product and pricing data on our system.
* Liaise with the Purchase Ledger team to resolve supplier queries promptly.
About You
You’ll bring energy, initiative, and strong commercial awareness to the role, along with:
* Previous experience in a sales or purchasing role (preferably within the building materials sector).
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
* A detailed and methodical approach to work.
* High attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office.
