We are recruiting a Head of Finance for a growing, multi‑channel consumer business. This is a senior, commercially focused position offering significant influence over financial strategy, margin performance and decision‑making during an exciting period of development.
This role would suit a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and wants to play a key role in driving profitable, sustainable growth.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Head of Finance will act as a strategic finance partner while retaining hands‑on ownership of financial performance. You will provide clarity around profitability, costs and investment decisions, ensuring finance supports the commercial objectives of the business.
This is not a purely reporting role - it is a highly visible position with genuine input into how the business operates and grows.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial performance across a complex, multi‑channel trading environment
* Provide commercial insight on margin, pricing, profitability and cost control
* Own budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
* Support strategic decisions through financial modelling and scenario analysis
* Deliver clear, concise reporting to senior stakeholders
* Maintain effective control of working capital, inventory and overheads
* Lead and develop a small, capable finance team
* Ensure robust financial governance as the business continues to evolve
About You
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a senior finance role within consumer, retail, food, FMCG or multi‑channel businesses
* Strong commercial mindset with experience influencing business decisions
* Track record of improving margin, profitability or financial performance
* Comfortable operating at senior leadership or board level
* Hands‑on, pragmatic and solutions‑focused approach
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
