Employment type: Permanent – Full time.
Hours: 37 hours per week for 52 weeks per year.
Location: Bath, England. Reporting to: Chloe Rogers.
Compensation: £30,348 – £40,015 per year.
To play an active role in delivering high‑quality teaching and learning within the Sports curriculum, ensuring that learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for success in the industry. The role involves planning, developing and organising engaging learning experiences, supporting curriculum design, assessment and enrichment activities to maintain excellence in the Department’s provision.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high standards of teaching and learning and monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
* Deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes including functional skills, work skills and tutoring.
* Deliver on Level 1, 2, 3 and HE programmes as required, including the Personal Training L3 programme.
* Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and other related activities that influence learning effectiveness.
* Co‑ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
* Communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
* Work pro‑actively to advance the success and vision of the department and the College.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Relevant degree in Sport or related subject.
* Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards GCSE (or equivalent).
* Maths and English at Grade C or above.
