Title: Manual Turning Machinist

Salary: Up to £17.50 per hour

A great opportunity to join a team on nights working within multiple sectors as a manual turning machinist. You’ll play a key role in working on one-off and small batch projects, this is a hands on position which will involve using a range of manual machines.
Manual Turning Machinist Responsibilities:
Operate manual centre lathes, including Heavy duty machines
Machining one-off or small batch projects
Breakdown, repair and modification work
Work from technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations
Working on internal and external threads
Manual Turning Machinist Experience:
Five years’ experience in a Manual turning or machining position
Previous experience working on Colchester lathes
Ability to interpret technical drawings with excellent attention to detail
Quality measuring devices micrometres, verniers, etc.
