Job Description

A part-time Business Support Assistant is required to join a busy office environment based ideally in Sunderland, with flexibility for other office locations if needed. Working 3–4 days per week, this role involves delivering essential administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Tasks include document handling, scheduling, and general office duties.

Candidates should have strong communication skills and be confident using Microsoft Office tools. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous admin experience looking for flexible working hours.\n \n Overview of the role:\n \nAnswer incoming calls and respond to enquiries professionally. \nAssist with scanning, formatting, and preparing documents.

\nCreate and collate documents for tenders and bids. \nManage incoming and outgoing post. \nSupport with booking travel and accommodation.

\nPrepare agendas, minutes, and reports. \nSet up meeting rooms and provide refreshments. \nSupport fire safety and health & safety tasks, including regular checks.

\nHelp maintain a safe and organised office environment. \n \n Preferred Ideal Experience & Skills Required \n \nThree years’ experience in administrative roles. \nConfident using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint.

\nAble to work independently and manage routine office tasks. \nStrong organisational and communication skills. \nGood attention to detail when managing data and documents.
