Job Title: English, Maths and Science Tutor (1:1 Support)
Location: HU3
Hours: 15 hours a week. To be held between Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm
Pay Rate: GBP20 - GBP30 per hour
Students: Year 9 Student, working below ARE
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced English and Maths tutors to provide 1:1 support to students in the Hull area. We work with local authorities and councils to arrange these 1:1 tuitions for students currently accessing alternative provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who may require additional support to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions in English and Maths
* Support students in improving academic performance and confidence
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
* Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
Experience, Training and Qualifications
* QTS (desired but not essential) or previous experience working with students on a 1:1 basis
* Proven track record of improving student performance
* Team Teach qualification (highly desirable, but not required)
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year is desirable; training can be provided if needed)
* DBS registered on the update service
To be Eligible for this Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
* Hold the right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to apply for one
* Provide two professional references covering the last two years
