Opened 1994. The Original Hotel du Vin – 24 bedrooms, 60‑seater restaurant, 2 private event spaces seating up to 48.
At Hotel Du Vin, fifty percent of all revenue comes from catering sales. In many of our hotels we can be busier in our brassieres than most local restaurants! This gives our chef brigades a great opportunity to develop themselves within our kitchens. Learning new skills, working in fast‑paced environments under pressure, and sometimes with produce they've never worked with before.
We offer on‑the‑job training in‑house as well as working with our training provider to offer nationally recognised apprenticeships. If you want to progress your career, a HDV kitchen is the place to do it.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef by ensuring the team delivers brand standards in a smooth and consistent manner.
* Develop the team beneath you, demonstrating your skills and overseeing their growth.
* Work in a fast‑paced environment under pressure, learning new skills and working with diverse produce.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience as Sous Chef at a similar level.
