The apprentice toolmaker will work with qualified staff to ensure the best manufacturing methods are used to maintain and produce the correct accuracy, and to exact the highest quality standards for injection moulding tools. You will utilise your problem-solving skills, to improve efficiencies in manufacturing techniques, while also using your attention to detail, to ensure all processes in the manufacture of injection mould tools are done accurately and in the lead times required. You will ensure the correct Health and Safety practices are always observed, and a full understanding of 6 sigma, COSHH, near miss reporting, safety inspection checks are adhered to, and good housekeeping is always maintained. The training you will be getting Studying as an apprentice you will be qualified as a Level 3 Engineering Technician upon completion of your apprenticeship. You will be required to attend Tameside College one day a week at our Beaufort Road site, OL6 6NX. What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship You can progress through the organisation structure once you have completed your apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified toolroom engineer, or progress to supervisor or management positions if suitable.
