We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team, supporting the Trading function as their business partner.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving performance across the nutmeg trading category by providing insightful analysis, challenging assumptions, and supporting decision-making with robust financial expertise.
What you’ll be doing:
* Partnering with the Trading team to provide financial insight and analysis on sales, margin and promotional performance.
* Identifying risks, opportunities and trends, helping shape trading decisions to deliver growth and profitability.
* Analyse and understand weekly working capital variances compared to prior year and targets. Assist in the analysis & communication of forward-looking working capital forecasts to ensure targets are achievable.
* Proactively track and communicate any risks or opportunities regarding non-commercial margin expenditure against both budget and previous year's performance, ensuring timely updates.
* Monitoring cross-category freight price fluctuations and contract renewals to accurately model cost structures and forecast impact on overall commercial margin.
* Building strong relationships with commercial stakeholders to ensure finance is embedded in day-to-day decision making.
* Supporting the development of category strategies by providing forward-looking analysis and scenario modelling. Proactively presenting insights and recommendations to senior management to inform decision-making.
* Collaborate with Commercial teams to build accurate sales and margin forecasts and budgets, with robust plans for delivery with clear building blocks.
* Driving continuous improvement in processes and analysis within Commercial Finance.
