A lovely new role working for a global household business that owns many well-known brands. They seek an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend areas such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities, with openness to candidates with a broad indirect category management background.
Role and responsibilities:
* Create strategies and ensure delivery and performance, including year-on-year savings
* Develop group-wide category plans and strategies to ensure alignment and leverage suppliers for local support
* Engage, manage, and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand supplier performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance using reporting tools and feedback
* Promote procurement values and standards within the company
* Deliver strategic projects and ensure optimal service and cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect category procurement within large, complex organizations
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics & Operations
* Procurement experience in the private sector, ideally globally focused
* Experience managing complex global projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers
* Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic approach to procurement and supplier management
* Excellent communication skills across cultures and countries
* Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
* MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential
