We are looking for an enthusiastic Library & Culture Assistant (peripatetic) to join our team on a temporary basis.
As a Temp Library & Culture Assistant, you will ensure the daily operation of library services across West Dunbartonshire, assisting library users to access a variety of resources, activities, and support in a friendly and courteous manner. We aim to provide excellent customer care, so you should be a good communicator with recent experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrating an outgoing, friendly, and courteous manner. Our activities cater to all ages and include baby yoga, baby massage, Bookbug, Storytime, school events, computer classes, author talks, and literature festivals. Libraries are vital to the local authority, meeting statutory duties, improvement targets, and local outcomes. We collaborate with various Council departments and external partners to meet local and national priorities.
Contributions are made to the Council’s Community and Service Plans and to national Library strategies in partnership with the Scottish Library and Information Council. Systems are in place to monitor service impact and ensure continuous improvement.
