Transport Manager - CPC QualifiedLocation: ManchesterSalary: Up to £43,000 per annumHours: 07:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (1 in 4 Sundays)Contract Type: Permanent

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled professional to lead and support our growing transport team based in Manchester.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage internal and external audits for the Transport department.
* Hold and maintain a valid CPC accreditation on behalf of the company.
* Manage a fleet of 20+ vehicles, including all aspects of record-keeping, servicing, and maintenance.
* Supervise driver compliance with tachographs, working time directives, and company policies.
* Conduct recruitment, training, and disciplinary processes for drivers.
* Monitor vehicle and driver checks, ensuring operational safety and compliance.
* Deliver corrective training to improve driver performance and reduce risk.
* Foster a positive, results-driven culture through leadership and motivation.
* Liaise with other operational departments to ensure seamless collaboration.
* Carry out minor repairs where needed to minimise vehicle off-road (VOR) time.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Transport Manager with a valid National CPC - Essential
* Background in airfreight and logistics - Preferred
* Experience managing fleets of 20+ vehicles
* Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and vehicle tracking tools
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Solid understanding of compliance, audits, and operational procedures
* Ability to review, implement, and improve transport processes
* Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of solving problems under pressure
* Class 1 licence - Desirable but not essential
* Full UK driving licence - Essential
* Willingness to undergo a full 5-year background check
