IT Service Transition Manager | Derby (South), Hybrid | Strong salary + 15% Bonus, 10% Pension, Private Health
Are you passionate about ensuring IT services move seamlessly from design to business-as-usual? We’re looking for an IT Service Transition Manager to take ownership of embedding new services into BAU — ensuring they meet agreed standards of availability, stability, security, capacity, cost, and budget control.
This role is pivotal to the success how technology operates for an iconic UK market leader with 30 divisions and multi-£bn turnover. Youll work closely with Technical, Architecture, Business Change, and IT Operations teams, as well as external partners. You’ll be the point of contact throughout the transition process, driving accountability and ensuring new services are fully fit for purpose.
What you’ll be doing:
* Own the end-to-end transition of new services into BAU, meeting agreed Service Readiness Criteria.
* Design and deliver robust transition plans, integrating new services smoothly into live operations.
* Work with Service Delivery Managers & Project Managers to ensure solutions are supportable and business-ready.
* Proactively identify and communicate risks around service readiness.
* Partner with outsourced providers and MSPs for seamless integration.
* Embed best practices in Service Transition & Change Management, aligned to ITIL.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience managing service transitions in complex IT environments.
* Strong knowledge of ITIL service management frameworks.
* Skilled at stakeholder management across business, project, and IT functions.
* Ideally, exposure to a broad range of technology and change projects, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
* A delivery-focused approach with excellent communication and planning skills.
