Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Sharnbrook, Bedford
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am to 6pm
Salary: £14.42 PH
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our clients successful team.
Our client based in Sharnbrook, has grown into the UK’s premier independent supplier of plumbing, heating, and gas fittings, serving over 2,000 merchant customers with a catalogue of more than 4,500 lines—all supported by ISO 9001:2015 certification .
Currently expanding its Sharnbrook headquarters with a £1 million extension—adding 700 pallet spaces and state‑of‑the‑art facilities— They are committed to delivering service excellence and sustainable growth
Role Purpose
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll be the operational linchpin ensuring efficient stock flow, health & safety compliance, and team leadership, all within a dynamic and expanding facility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate daily warehouse operations, including goods in/out, put‑away, picking, and shipping.
Supervise a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring consistent performance and engagement.
Maintain accurate stock records and manage inventory counts.
Enforce ISO‑compliant health, safety, and quality standards.
Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to meet delivery targets.
Oversee warehouse equipment checks and maintenance.
Contribute to continuous improvement—optimising workflows, layout, and processes.
Skills & Experience
Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑management abilities.
Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail.
Solid understanding of health and safety in warehouse environments (ISO awareness a plus).
Forklift licence is advantageous, but not essential.
Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset, with a can‑do attitude.
