Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative Management Accountant to join our UK Finance Team in Oxford. This is a six-month fixed-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
As a Management Accountant, you’ll help ensure our financial operations are accurate, timely, and insightful. You’ll work closely with business controllers, management, and other stakeholders to support compliance and decision-making across AFRY’s UK operations.
Key responsibilities
You will work with the finance team, business controllers, and wider UK and Group finance teams to:
* Lead monthly management accounting for our M&A division
* Oversee balance sheet control, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy
* Support external audits and prepare annual financial statements
* Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS, VAT, and corporate tax regulations
* Collaborate with our finance team and manage accounts payable/receivable
* Provide financial input for proposals and client/vendor due diligence
Qualifications
You’ll bring:
* Solid experience in finance within a medium to large organisation
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with statutory accounts
* Excellent Excel skills and a knack for turning data into meaningful insights
* A commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve processes
* Great communication skills and the ability to work well independently and in teams
* A proactive, organised approach in a fast-paced environment

This role will be based in our Oxford office two days a week and the remaining days remote. We value a healthy work life balance and are committed to your wellbeing.
