Salary: £13.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Hours: Flexible hours, full-time or part-time available
Start Date: Immediate start available
Contract: Permanent, with 3 month probation period
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our friendly team at Kids World Nursery and Pre-School. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, strong leadership skills, and a genuine love for working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Manager in day-to-day operations of the nursery
• Act as Room Lead for the 2-year-old room
• Carry out and oversee 2-year progress checks
• Act as SENCO and Deputy Safeguarding Lead
• Ensure high standards of care, education, and safety
• Support and mentor nursery staff
• Conduct observations and assessments in line with EYFS
• Carry out Welcomm screening and individual learning plans
• Organise resources, weekly food orders, and maintain filing systems
• Assist with parent show rounds and enquiries
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an early years setting
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Ability to lead a team and work in partnership with parents
• Enhanced DBS check (or willing to apply)
