The Coleshill School is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Food and DT to join our proactive team, responsible for delivering high quality practical and theoretical lessons that help students develop essential life skills, nutritional knowledge and culinary experience. Start Date: 1st September 2026 Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in line with school policies Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and achievement Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives Participate in extracurricular activities and wider school life Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders What you'll need to succeed Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills Is committed to raising achievement and supporting student progress Embraces continuous professional development and reflective practice Shares the school’s values of respect, resilience, and ambition What you'll get in return A supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunities for professional development and career progression Access to high-quality CPD and mentoring (including ECT support) An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and employee benefits package Competitive pension scheme (Teachers’ Pension Scheme) Professional development and wellbeing days How to Apply To arrange an informal chat about the role, please contact Rebecca Brindley, Head of School, brindley.r@thecoleshillschool.org.
