Tuition Support Officer
The Education Inclusion Support Service are looking for a dynamic, flexible and proactive person to support the Timetable Coordinator and Family Liaison Officer in the development and delivery of individual support programmes for pupils with additional needs, both in mainstream schools and offsite venues.
In this role you will be in a busy environment where no two days will be the same and be able to work under pressure and have excellent administrative skills across a range of software including google suite and Arbor MIS. You will be able to work to deadlines and manage specific projects as well as have excellent interpersonal skills in order to liaise effectively with families and the professional network.
Please note the salary advertised is full-time equivalent and will be pro rata in line with term time working.

About the role
The Education Inclusion Support Service (EISS) works closely with schools, multi-agency teams, families and other partners across Kingston and Richmond local authority areas to improve educational outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
The Tuition Support Officer role supports:
2. the creation of bespoke education plans
3. ongoing liaison with families, oversee attendance
4. assisting in managing the staff timetables
5. liaise and support teachers around individual cases and setting up termly education review meetings for each pupil.
6. wider whole team responsibility that may include: managing the EISS database, administering referrals to the Early Advice and Intervention Panel, managing the team email address, note or minute taking, preparing and organising business meetings, processing workflows, dealing with internal and external customers and providing a high quality customer experience.
You will work as part of a specialist team whose role is to identify and support the academic, behavioural, emotional and social needs of pupils referred to the service, especially those pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. Supporting the delivery of the alternative provision programmes you will engage and collaborate with key members of the team to ensure good practice. Assisting in the timetable management of circa 60 teaching staff and have the confidence to make decisions about the implementation and delivery of bespoke education packages for upwards of 100 pupils.

About you
7. The role is fast paced and you will have the ability to work effectively under pressure and a flexible approach is paramount alongside the ability to think creatively about the type of package that will work for each pupil
8. Proven ability to effectively use data, data dashboards intelligence and evidence to create meaningful insight to support decision making
9. Proven ability to manage specific projects and ensure deadlines are achieved eg, set up of a new provision and the recording systems that are required to track referral of cases, demographics, impact measures and signposting
10. Experience of multi-agency working and developing and applying effective mechanisms to engage professionals in service delivery and support
11. You will need good attention to detail and excellent communication and customer service skills
12. Experience with workflows that have multiple moving parts and where decisions made have various implications
13. Ability to confidently analyse teacher reports to identify and action any concerns relating to safeguarding or areas of risk
14. Monitor and analyse attendance data to identify pupils at risk of missing education and triggering other service involvement and convening multi agency meetings as needed
15. Ability to oversee longer term management of cases where pupils are deemed vulnerable or at risk, and monitor and trigger other service involvement via SPA as necessary
