About The Role
Working within the Site Services Department, the role of Site Technician Supervisor involves splitting responsibilities between two key disciplines:
1. Office-based support for the Site Services Manager, including project planning, arranging training and customer/DNO authorisations, completing risk assessments and method statements, and handling non-conformance reviews.
2. Field-based senior technician duties, focusing on the mechanical and electrical maintenance and installation of BRUSH Switchgear across the UK, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications, and leading client interactions.
Key Responsibilities
* Report directly to the Site Services Manager.
* Lead site interactions with customers when required.
* Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installation of BRUSH Switchgear.
* Investigate quality issues or switchgear failures on-site.
* Manage safety documentation for work on isolated and earthed switchgear.
* Carry out HV pressure testing.
* Uphold company values and commitments.
* Advise clients on technical issues.
* Provide detailed reports on technical issues encountered.
* Perform SF6 Gassing works.
* Interpret BRUSH engineering drawings.
* Supervise and train team members on-site.
* Conduct site safety audits.
* Manage PPE requirements and training for field technicians.
* Oversee DNO authorisations for field technicians.
* Support investigation and resolution of NCRs.
* Provide technical support for live projects and inquiries via phone and virtual meetings.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills
* Strong electrical or mechanical background, with apprenticeship or HNC qualification.
* Proven experience working on DNO HV systems and substations.
* Extensive experience with a range of HV/HV switchgear installations.
* Holder of DNO-authorised safety documents.
