About the role
Are you a Sous Chef ready for a bigger, better, and bolder role? Join the prestigious Stowe School and help lead our culinary team in one of the UK’s most stunning locations. We partner with Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer, to provide fresh innovative food services to independent schools and colleges. Our experienced professionals tailor catering to fit children of all ages and meet bespoke client requirements. Our mission is simple: to equip our teams with the right skills and invest in their training and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
* Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service
* Ensure food safety and allergen controls are consistently met
* Contribute to innovative menu planning
* Manage mise en place and ensure smooth, timely service
* Support events and functions alongside school life
Qualifications
* Ideally, experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef or equivalent in a contract catering environment, preferably in independent education or high‑profile business settings
* Passionate about fresh, seasonal food and creative presentation
* Strong attention to detail and high food safety standards
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
* A flexible and proactive approach to work
