About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents, assist the Home Manager with organising fundraising events, and foster social confidence among Residents. You will develop activity programmes based on Residents’ hobbies and involve the care home team, always guided by kindness.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to report concerns appropriately are required.
We provide full training, offering a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will enjoy a wide range of benefits supporting your well-being and career development, including:
* Hourly rate subject to experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
