HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and preferably some IT skills. Communication skills should be considerate and kind, especially when interacting with residents and co-workers.
The Maintenance Operative will ensure our Residents live in a proactively inspected and well-maintained environment. Responsibilities include carrying out audits, maintaining accurate records, and performing tasks such as replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on windows, or wallpapering, always with kindness as a priority.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You must be able to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
