Offer description

Do you believe that strong, trusting relationships are the foundation of great support? Has your experience in social care shown you the difference a connected and values-led team can make? If you're passionate about helping people live a life that makes sense to them, we'd love to hear from you. We're currently looking for a male Support Worker to join our team in Ampthill, supporting three men across two homes. This is a full-time role of up to 37.5 hours a week, working a range of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and bank holidays. About the People You'll Support You'll be supporting * David, * Stephen, and * Simon, who are in their forties and fifties. They each lead active, varied lives shaped by their individual personalities and preferences. David is a huge music fan - especially Metallica and Belinda Carlisle. Simon enjoys his daily shopping trips and never misses his regular bingo club. Stephen is passionate about airplanes, with the Duxford Air Show being a highlight of his year. Like all of us, they have good days and days that are more difficult. On those days, you will be trained to notice the subtle signs that someone might be struggling and to respond with kindness and confidence. You will: Provide consistent, person-centred support across daily routines and meaningful activities. Build trusting relationships and really get to know what matters to each person. Work as part of a close-knit team committed to MacIntyre's values and the people we support. Contribute to a calm, supportive environment that promotes wellbeing and independence. Shares our belief that everyone has the right to live a life that makes sense to them. Wants to keep learning and growing in a supportive team.
