Role Overview
We are recruiting a skilled and motivated Motor Vehicle Mechanic Tutor to deliver high-quality vocational training within HMP Highpoint. You will work with small groups of adult learners, developing their practical mechanics skills, technical understanding, and employability behaviours to support rehabilitation and reduce re-offending.
This role involves preparing structured lesson plans, creating personalised learning pathways, and delivering hands-on training sessions. You will support learners in overcoming barriers, building confidence, and achieving recognised qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Vocational Training & Learner Support
1. Deliver Motor Vehicle Mechanics training up to Level 2.
2. Create tailored learning plans that link directly to skill development and employment goals.
3. Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons on servicing, repair, diagnostics, health & safety, and workshop practice.
4. Motivate learners to improve attendance, participation, and achievement.
