Job Title: Children’s Baking Instructor (After School Club) Our client is seeking a passionate and reliable Baking Instructor to deliver fun, hands-on baking sessions for children aged 4–11 in a safe and engaging after-school environment. Role Overview You will lead structured baking sessions, teaching children how to bake and decorate a variety of sweet and savoury items while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and independence. Full training, lesson plans, and materials are provided. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, age-appropriate baking sessions Teach children basic baking and decorating skills Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment Supervise children and follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures Create a positive, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere Working Hours Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 4 hours per day Term-time only Requirements Essential: Strong baking skills (professional or hobbyist) Comfortable working with children Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic approach Own transport Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) Desirable: Experience working with children (teaching assistant, tutor, childcare, instructor, etc.) Knowledge of food hygiene and safeguarding What's On Offer Full training and structured lesson plans All ingredients and materials provided Supportive and creative working environment Consistent part-time, term-time hours A rewarding role helping children learn and grow Please apply with your CV and a brief overview of your baking and/or childcare experience to Cath at Select Recruitment.
