About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations & Logistics to oversee day‑to‑day business functions, including logistics, warehousing, office management, health & safety, and site facilities, for this fantastic business based near Chelmsford. With a salary of £60,000–£70,000 plus a company vehicle, this senior role requires strong experience in operations and a solid understanding of transport and logistics.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations and coordinate logistics across the business
* Work closely with internal departments and external transport partners to ensure smooth delivery schedules
* Take responsibility for the effective running and organisation of the warehouse
* Lead, support, and develop the office‑based team
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and champion best practices across the site
* Manage site facilities, ensuring they remain safe, efficient, and fit for purpose
What Experience is Required
* Strong, proven experience in a similar role
* Solid understanding of transport and logistics, including within the EU.
* Full UK Driving license
