Roles / Responsibilities
* Lead and support a small production team, ensuring daily operations run efficiently and safely
* Maintain strong performance across output, quality, cost, and delivery targets
* Apply Lean principles to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
* Uphold high standards of health and safety across all production activities
* Mentor and develop staff, including overseeing training, shift planning, and performance reviews
* Ensure accurate stock levels and manage the flow of incoming and outgoing goods
* Provide hands‑on support when required, assisting operatives during busy periods or staff shortages
* Collaborate with colleagues at the international site when needed, supporting communication and coordination across locations
* Report directly to the Managing Director, contributing to wider business goals and operational strategy
About You
* Proven background in production management within a manufacturing environment
* Able to step into the role confidently and make an immediate impact
* Strong experience applying Lean methodologies and driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Natural inclination to streamline processes, reduce waste, and boost efficiency
* Hands‑on, team‑focused mindset
* Understanding of CNC or machining processes is beneficial but not essential
