Overview
Criminal Duty Solicitor / 2+ PQE / Merseyside / Up to GBP 50,000 (DOE). A respected Merseyside law firm is looking to appoint a Criminal Duty Solicitor to its expanding criminal defence team. This role offers a strong opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and well established practice.
Responsibilities
* Join the well established criminal department and handle a varied caseload of criminal defence matters.
* Advise and represent clients at all stages of the criminal process, including police station attendances, Magistrates\' Court matters, and preparation of cases progressing to the Crown Court.
* Undertake Duty Solicitor work as part of the firm\'s rota and manage your own caseload with appropriate support.
* Provide clear, practical advice to clients during challenging circumstances.
* Develop hands-on advocacy and build trusted client relationships within the local community.
The Candidate
* Qualified Solicitors with at least 2 years\' PQE and Duty Solicitor accreditation.
* Experience handling a range of criminal defence matters and confident working independently including police station and court work.
* Strong communication skills, a calm professional approach, and a genuine commitment to criminal defence.
* Team player who contributes to the ongoing success and reputation of the department.
