Woodley Trial Solutions, a leading supplier of veterinary, medical, and laboratory equipment, is searching for a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to join their dedicated team in Horwich, Bolton. What you'll be doing:
As their new Warehouse Manager, you will be the linchpin of Woodley's operations, taking charge of the entire warehouse function. You'll lead a small team, fostering an environment of safety, cleanliness, and high performance.
1. Operational Excellence: You'll be hands-on, working alongside your team to prepare medical equipment and supplies for dispatch, including picking, provisioning, and packing orders. You'll also manage incoming deliveries, checking and booking in equipment to ensure a smooth workflow.
2. Inventory & Kitting Wizardry: You will oversee all aspects of inventory and quality assurance, maintaining accurate stock levels through regular audits and ensuring the correct storage of sensitive materials. A key part of your role will be managing the assembly of medical kits for specific client protocols.
3. Driving Innovation: Woodley are looking for someone who loves to optimize! You'll be responsible for developing and implementing efficient processes for stock organization and dispatch. You'll also lead exciting projects to enhance their operations, such as implementing new barcode, RFID systems, and cyclical stock checks.
4. Team Leadership: You'll be a motivating force, creating a high-performing workplace and a culture of continuous improvement. Your duties will include developing and leading your team, setting up new client procedures, and ensuring punctuality, quality, and safety are top priorities.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
8. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, and Managing Employees.
9. Hands-on experience with pick and pack or kitting operations.
10. Experience handling perishable goods and supplies.
11. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a larger team.
12. Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
13. Proficiency with various software applications and the ability to develop and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
14. Forklift training is a plus.
