They are currently seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience within the built environment to join their Glasgow office.This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an engineer to help build up their own electrical team, contributing to their overall growth and success plans of the wider business. You will be given access to a variety of multi-million pound projects and will be working in an environment where you are able to develop both your technical andmercial skills.Your New RoleYou will join the team as a Principal Electrical Engineer. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading the Electrical team within the Glasgow office.
2. Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
3. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems
4. Conducting site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
5. Report and technical note writing.
6. Ensuringpliance with relevant regulations, codes and standards.
7. Lead projects from a design andmercial perspective, dealing with budgets, timelines etc.
8. Contributing to the growth of the electrical team, including conducting candidate interviews.
9. Contributing towards business development and strategy.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
11. Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership) with CIBSE or IET.
12. A minimum of 10 years of experience within Electrical Building Services Design.
13. An excellent technical level with engineering softwares such as Amtech, Relux, Dialux, etc.
14. A detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
15. Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills.
16. Strong leadership skills
17. Ability to work on your own as well as within a wider multidisciplinary team.
