We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team on a 6-month fixed term contract due to an increase in workload. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence by improving manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency and supporting new product introductions from concept through to production. Manufacturing Engineer 6 Month FTC Salary dependent on experience Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 12pm Redditch Manufacturing Engineer Key Responsibilities Optimize manufacturing processes for quality, efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and first-time quality. Support industrialization of new products including tooling, work instructions and validation plans. Implement and lead APQP, PPAP, and related readiness and approval processes. Conduct structured problem-solving using RCA, 8D, and DMAIC methodologies. Define and maintain routings, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation. Manufacturing Engineer Skills & Experience Hands on experience working within an industrial, machining, fabrication or similar manufacturing engineering environment. Proven experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar Practical experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving.
