The Foundation Learning Department is for learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), barriers to learning and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The provision is based across the College group and offers high-quality tailored programmes designed to meet the individual needs of learners.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Job Coach to co-ordinate and support work experience, Supported Internships and other Supported Employment activities within the department. The role will include establishing and maintaining close working relationships with external agencies and employers, on and off the job training and work with the tutors to place, train and monitor the students through successful placements leading to enhanced opportunities for employment. Alongside this to also arrange and promote work readiness activities, guest speakers and employer visits.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the Supported Employment agenda and advocate the benefits for employing people with SEND/SEMH to employers and the wider community. You will be organised and have the ability to prioritise, be flexible with your time management and have excellent communication skills. Whilst also ensuring that all administration including health and safety checks are complete.
