About Us
Dayfold is a leading luxury print and packaging company, delivering innovative, high-quality solutions for premium brands. We are growing rapidly and are now seeking a talented and experienced Head of Accountant & Office Manager to join our senior management team.
This is a busy and varied role, ideal for someone with strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to oversee wider office, HR, and legal functions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
* Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations.
* Oversee Xero accounting software and ensure accuracy of all entries.
* Handle invoice discounting and liaise with financial providers.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax).
* Oversee debtor/creditor control and reconciliation.
* Work with external accountants and auditors.
* Ideally, have knowledge of Tharstern MIS system (training can be provided).
Office & Administration
* Act as Office Manager, overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
* Implement and maintain efficient processes and systems.
* Oversee administrative staff and office support functions.
* Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
HR & Legal
* Support with HR matters, including contracts, staff onboarding, absence management, and performance processes.
* Ensure compliance with employment law and liaise with external HR/legal advisors where necessary.
* Manage confidential employee records and ensure GDPR compliance.
* Oversee any legal or compliance-related matters impacting the business.
Leadership
* Contribute to senior management decision-making.
* Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support business growth.
* Be a trusted partner to the Managing Director, CEO, and leadership team.
About You
* Ideally a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent). Part-qualified or candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
* Proven experience using Xero (essential).
* Experience with invoice discounting facilities (essential).
* Knowledge of Tharstern MIS is desirable, but training can be provided.
* Strong understanding of financial compliance and controls.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Ability to handle HR and office management responsibilities.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, varied environment.
* Professional, discreet, and able to work at senior management level.
