Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy and well-established waste management operation based in East Lothian.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent full-time work, weekly pay, and the chance to secure a permanent role with a reputable client.
🕒 Working Hours
1. Monday to Friday
2. 6:15am start times
3. Minimum 40 hours per week
4. Overtime available depending on workload
5. Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate
🔧 The Role
6. Operating a Class 2 skip vehicle across scheduled delivery and collection routes
7. Delivering and collecting skips safely and efficiently
8. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
9. Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
10. Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
💰 Pay Rates
PAYE
11. £14.53 per hour
12. £21.80 per hour overtime after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
13. £16.28 per hour
14. £24.42 per hour overtime after 8 hours
✅ Minimum 40 hours guaranteed per week
✅ Weekly pay

✅ Requirements
15. Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
16. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
17. Previous skip, waste, or similar Class 2 driving experience preferred
18. Good understanding of health & safety procedures
19. Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
