Package Description SENDCo - Colchester CO3 3NE £45,000 - £50,000 Full Time (40hrs/week) New SEN School Opening September 2026 Purpose of the Role To lead and coordinate the provision for pupils with SEND, ensuring that all pupils receive personalised, high-quality support that enables them to achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities: Lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of pupils with SEND. Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans and Education, Health and Care Plans Ensure statutory compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and other relevant legislation. Coordinate and deliver training for staff on SEND strategies, differentiation, and inclusive teaching. Monitor the progress and wellbeing of pupils with SEND and adapt provision accordingly. Requirements: QTS SENDCO accreditation (or willingness to undertake it) Proven experience coordinating SEND provision in a complex educational setting. Deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, statutory requirements, and inclusive education Ability to lead, motivate, and support staff in delivering high-quality SEND provision, modelling the Staff Code of Conduct Ability to develop and implement effective SEND strategies and monitor impact. Strong interpersonal skills with staff, pupils, parents, and external professionals.
