Hire Manager - (Lead, Motivate, Inspire)

What you’ll be doing
Your main responsibility is to develop and execute a sales action plan that exceeds budget performance through a proactive sales approach. You’ll support the integration of Hire into the wider Travis Perkins branch and enhance the knowledge of the services available to Branch colleagues, providing training and coaching where needed in close collaboration with the Branch Manager.

Working hours: Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with only 2 Saturdays every 4 weeks (8:00 am to 12:00 pm).
What you’ll be responsible for
* Develop a winning sales action plan and drive results beyond targets
* Coach and train the team in collaboration with the Branch Manager
* Ensure all tools and equipment are safe, ready and maintained
* Balance stock levels to meet demand and keep inventory optimised
* Lead the Hire team, supervising, motivating and training for top performance
* Provide excellent customer service, offering solutions and upselling to boost sales
* Communicate daily with the team and the branch through toolbox talks and effective updates
Who you are
* Experience in tool hire, plant hire or a leadership role – or sales / customer service experience
* Leadership abilities: you can inspire a team and keep projects moving forward
* Safety‑focused, ensuring equipment and environments are safe
* Proactive, thriving in a fast‑paced environment and always seeking improvement
