Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director – Software Sales to lead our software sales division. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing new software business opportunities, managing strategic client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of software sales targets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software platforms, CRM systems, and the full software project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive and manage the end-to-end software sales strategy across the UK and Europe.
• Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities related to software platforms, SaaS, and cloud-based services.
• Lead and mentor the software sales team to exceed revenue goals and build high-performing capabilities.
• Own the CRM strategy; ensure the CRM system is optimized to drive customer insights, pipeline visibility, and sales forecasting accuracy.
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on technology and software-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and service execution.
• Understand and communicate the software project lifecycle to stakeholders, ensuring customer expectations are effectively managed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
• Develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and value propositions for software solutions.
• Represent Genesis at client meetings, industry events, and executive forums.
Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of software sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of selling enterprise software, SaaS, or cloud-based platforms across telecom or related engineering domains.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and experience with data-driven sales pipeline management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with an ability to execute in complex, fast-paced environments.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
• Background in telecom or engineering services industries.
• Knowledge of telecom-related software platforms such as OSS/BSS, network orchestration tools, or AI-powered service assurance tools.
• Experience in selling to Tier 1 telecom operators and enterprise clients in the UK and Europe.
