Endoscopy Team Lead | Theatre | Full Time | Permanent | Methley Park – LS26
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Theatre Practitioner who has previous experience with Endoscopy who is looking for their next step in their career as a team lead. This is a full time (37.5hrs per week) permanent position based at Methley Park in LS26.
Spire Methley Park Hospital situated in Methley in South Leeds, has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties. Duties and responsibilities
1. Lead the Endoscopy Service against Spire key performance indicators, ensuring the efficient running of the department.
2. To provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing a team.
3. To ensure the team deliver effective patient care by providing clinical and managerial leadership.
4. To maximise on Endoscopy opportunities across the hospital through capturing inbound enquiries and converting them to a booking, thus driving revenue to hit AOP target and fill capacity.
5. To identify opportunities and deliver business growth, including competitor and price analysis.
6. Maintain and develop quality standards and improvement throughout the department.
7. Ensure all audits/reviews of the departments and their performance are undertaken and implement action plans in response to findings.
8. Seek and employ innovative methods of improving service delivery in line with the 5 CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE); always aiming to achieve Good and Outstanding.
Who we're looking for
9. Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC/HCPC registration, no restrictions or conditions to practice.
10. Endoscopy Experience Required
11. Previous experience within a Theatre Environment
12. High standard of clinical practice
13. Competent across a range of clinical skills supported by professional competence and knowledge
14. Able to use evidence based practice to provide high standards of care.
15. Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission
16. Experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision.
17. Previous leadership experience would be an advantage; however we offer award winning training and CPD.
18. Ability to manage complex cases.
19. Previous experience of managing clinical audits - desirable
