Rate of Pay: £12.71 - £16.43 per hour
Summary:
The Cleaner / Estate Services Operative will be responsible for maintaining communal areas to a high standard of cleanliness, ensuring estates and shared spaces remain safe, tidy and welcoming for residents and visitors.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out general cleaning duties within communal areas including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing and litter picking.
* Sweep, disinfect and maintain refuse chutes, bins and bin storage areas where appropriate.
* Use cleaning machinery such as jet washers and steam cleaners for deep cleaning duties when required.
* Report repairs, maintenance concerns and defects in communal areas to the maintenance department or line manager.
* Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
* Act as a point of contact for residents, assisting with enquiries or referring issues appropriately.
Essentials:
* Valid UK driving licence with ability to drive company vehicles when required.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Basic understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities in the workplace.
* Ability to use a smartphone to access emails and log repairs or health & safety issues.
