37 hours per week - Permanent, Term Time Only. Required to start as soon as possible.
The House Support Officer will contribute to the team of House Support Officers, working alongside staff, parents and students. The role supports student well-being and achievement through targeted support and intervention, in consultation with the Heads of House and school pastoral leaders.
The role is part of Redhill Academy Trust Pay Scale, Band 7 (Scale Points 32 - 36).
The role involves working with parents, students on behavioural and attendance issues, providing pastoral support, and supporting the work of the inclusion team.

Responsibilities
* Being the main contact for parents/carers during the school day
* Supporting the Heads of House in monitoring attendance and punctuality of students
* Investigating specific behaviour incidents, taking statements from students where appropriate, and preparing documentation to report findings to Heads of House
* Supporting the DSL by ensuring safeguarding issues are dealt with and recorded in line with school policy and procedures
* Working on school attendance as necessary (e.g. first day contact for targeted cohorts of students)
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 3 qualification or a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
* 5 GCSEs (Equiv. A* - C) including English and Maths
* Background knowledge of relevant pastoral work
