Your new role
As an Estimator, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of high-profile construction projects. You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing tender documents, and collaborating with design, procurement, and project teams to ensurepetitive and profitable bids. From initial feasibility assessments to final submission, your expertise will help guide strategic decisions and maintain thepany’s reputation for excellence.Key responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents
2. Preparing detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
3. Conducting risk analysis and value engineering to optimise project costs
4. Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtainpetitive pricing
5. Supporting bid submissions and attending pre- and post-tender meetings
6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and construction methodologies
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a sharp analytical mind, strongmercial awareness, and a meticulous eye for detail. You’ll be confident working withplex data, tight deadlines, and cross-functional teams — all while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.Essential qualifications and experience:
7. Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, ideally with main contractor exposure
8. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
9. Proficiency in estimating software (, Causeway, ConQuest, or similar)
10. Excellent numerical and analytical skills
11. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
12. Strongmunication and negotiation skills
13. Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
