We are seeking an experienced and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a committed and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and skilled practitioner to take a leading role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an HLTA:
* Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
* Cover classes during teacher absence, including delivering pre-planned lessons
* Provide targeted support to individuals and groups of pupils, including those with additional needs
* Support assessment and track pupil progress
* Assist with classroom organisation, resource preparation, and behaviour management
* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
Ideal HLTA:
* HLTA status or relevant HLTA qualification
* Proven experience working in a primary or secondary school setting
* Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills as an HLTA
* Confidence in delivering lessons and leading learning independently
* A flexible, organised, and professional approach
* A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection
