Working within the Education department within the Clinical directorate, the Apprenticeship Outreach Practitioner will play a key role in supporting apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, in the most part, within the operational environment ensuring they are supported to achieve their apprenticeship by the planned end date.
The postholder will need to be visible regularly across thissector. Travel to other Trust sites and training centres maybe required as part of the role.
Main duties of the job
The Apprenticeship Outreach Practitioner will collaborate closely with operational teams, training and education staff, and external partners to enhance learning experiences and maintain high standards of patient care.
A key aspect of this role is providing individual support and teaching, mentoring, and assessment in operational settings, ensuring apprentices meet apprenticeship standards while fostering a positive learning culture.
The post holder will find the role varied, with portfolio marking, operational supervision shifts, progress reviews, tripartite reviews and teaching elements of the role.
This role focuses on assessing and guiding apprentices to develop the clinical skills, knowledge, and professional behaviours necessary.
The post holder may be required to deliver clinical training content within a training centre, should there be a requirement from the business.
This post requires working with autonomy, demonstration of leadership and diplomacy, and the ability to represent the Trust, and the Education Department, displaying clear evidence of professionalism and the Trust Values.

Essential criteria
1. Effective HCPC/NMC Registration
2. Level 6 Qualification in Paramedic Science or relevant profession (or level 5 equivalent and willing to achieve within 2 years).
3. L4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET, previously CTLLS) – Level 4 (or AET Level 3 and willing to achieve within 12 months of appointment).
4. CAVA or Assessing Qualification (or demonstrable experience and willing to achieve within 6 months of appointment).
5. Level 5/6 Mentoring Qualification or EEAST Practice Educator Qualification.
6. Holder of Full, Current UK Driving Licence with Category C1 and no more than 6 points. Have own transport and be willing to use this as required during the provision of the duties of the post.
Experience

7. Significant post-registration experience in a frontline operational environment.
8. Assessment in clinical practice and on education/ training programmes.
