The Company:Part of a global manufacturing group – this business design and manufacture special purpose machinery for an international customer based. They are in a niche industry and are classed as technical specialists in their field. As a result of continued growth and increased demand for their products they are looking to expand their service department with an additional workshop and field service engineer.The Role:The role of a workshop and service engineer is incredibly varied and includes:Roughly 70-75% of the role is Workshop based - regular days with an early finish every Friday
Supporting the customer with product trailsMachinery modifications and test (electrical and mechanical)Planning service visitsTechnical support to customers 25-30% of the role will be Field Based: Visiting customer sites all over the worldMachinery installations and commissioningBreakdown supportPlanned maintenance Electrically the workshop and service engineer will be working on single and 3 phase systems, inverters, drives, relays, safety circuits and PLC'sMechanically the work includes conveyors, bearings, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics.Required Experience: The workshop and service engineer must be flexible to travel and work away from homeThe work both electrical and mechanical so you must have a multi-skilled engineering backgroundYou will be a qualified engineer to NVQ 3 as a minimum in either electrical or mechanical engineeringManufacturing experience is desirable, but ex Forces engineers would also be a great fit for this role Benefits:Full product and industry training to develop your technical skillsYou will be joining a very supportive business that looks after its peopleFantastic earning potential 50-55K OTEFantastic career opportnies within the global group network The mix of the role is ideal for someone that enjoys travel but doesn't want to be living out of a suitcase – you get a great mix of global travel and also a big chunk of regular days, home every night and weekends offTo Apply:Interviews can be arranged immediately so apply by following the online instructions or send a CV to
