Thereis an opening for an Inside Sales Manager in the European CustomerSuccess Organization to facilitate sales and revenue generation. The objectiveof the holder of this position is to provide the necessary sales and salesprocessing coverage, drive increased forecast accuracy, support sales(primarily account managers) with account plans and commercial and technicalpositioning of UOP processtechnologies, products, equipment and services to ensure optimummarket share in the region. The successful approach requires an inquisitiveindividual with flexibility, innovation and sensitivity to client needs.Candidates should have a sound technical background; desire to develop knowledgeof UOP technologies and products and internal processes to facilitate orderexecution; and be motivated towards meeting customer needs, achieving salessuccess and contributing effectively to the meeting UOP’s annual sales objectives.
Accountabilitiesof this position include:
* Ensure sales proceed to revenue generation with delivery as agreed in the order
* Manage key sales for high volume products such as Merox, regular make-up catalysts in Platforming, adsorbents and other similar products
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with key sales, service, business, customer care and logistics personnel
* Work with complex international companies as well as growing, independent, focused companies to ensure we understand their needs with respect to our product timing
* Assist SBU management and HGR team with managing the interface with key client executives.
* Work with Account Managers to identify sales opportunities and manage the intake into UOP, prepare sales strategy; deliver proposal and manage follow-up internally
* Manage commercial agreements for After Market Business events including catalyst sales, equipment parts/services/maintenance sales, services sales, etc.
* Communicate client needs and drivers to relevant groups within UOP and communicate UOP questions and clarifications effectively to Account Manager and/or the client.
* Participate in developing strategies for complex sales prospects in consultation with Account Manager, Project Sales and Sales Support.
* Complete won/lost reports for LST sales events in a timely manner.
* Assist in maintaining revenue forecasts and sales forecast
Skills / Qualifications:
* Basics of technical knowledge and application to refining and petrochemical processes
* Be ready to ask questions and think beyond basic objectives of given tasks
* Ability to effectively communicate with a range of people within UOP and customers
* Sound understanding of complex and value selling
* Effective computer skills and MS office skills (especially Excel)
WorkEnvironment (if applicable for non-office jobs):
* Some travel may occur (<5%)
* Role holder must be ready to cope with a wide range ofcultural social issues.
* Minimum of 3 days in the office per week
BasicQualifications:
* University level engineering degree (BSc or equivalent in Chemical Engineering preferred)
* Interest in how businesses function and make money
* Ability to build strong relationships
* Strong interpersonal skills as well as good verbal, writing and presentation skills
* An ability to work independently
* Strong analytical skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
